What is your cancellation policy?

Being a small inn, we are greatly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We require notice of 14 days prior to your stay in order for your deposit to be refunded. Cancellations made with less than a 14 day notice will be charged the full amount of your room cost. All cancellations are subject to a $35 handling fee when charged on a credit card, no exceptions.

Please note that either a late arrival or an early departure prior to the end of your reservation, is handled as a cancellation and you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation.

How large are the grounds surrounding the inn?

Our boutique inn is surrounded by 12 acres of pastoral farmland, heritage woods, and a tranquil salt marsh. Built in 1763 and lovingly restored in 2018, our historic property is a peaceful retreat. Situated only fifteen minutes from major attractions in Wiscasset and the Boothbay region.

Is there onsite parking for our event?

We have onsite parking for 20 vehicles that are for the use of the Inn guests. Transportation shuttles are required for larger events.

How late can our event go on to?

We require that your bar close and the music end by 10:00PM and all guests not staying at the property have left the property by 11PM.

Do you allow children?

We gladly welcome well-behaved children! Most of our rooms, with the exception of room 7, are only able to accommodate a total of two guests max. Up to 4 guests can be accommodated in room 7 but we ask that the children are age appropriate to climb a ladder into a loft space.

Who is Samuel "Squire" Tarbox?

Samuel Tarbox (1780-1861) became known as the Squire probably because of his wealth and stature as a business man and founding father of the Town of Westport. He was born in Litchfield, ME. In 1806, soon after marrying Mary "Polly" Brown, he bought the land on Westport from Stephen Parsons.
