What if I need to check-in early or late?

Our check-in window is anytime after 3:00 pm. We will text you the day of your stay with our guest guide and to confirm your ETA. We offer self check in and our guide provides detailed directions to your room, as well as answers to any questions you may have!

When was the Squire Tarbox Inn built?

Anchoring the line of buildings that make up the Tarbox Inn is the federal style homestead built by Samuel Tarbox ca. 1825. An expansion soon after at the back of the house served as the kitchen until 1956. The oldest part of the house is the 1763 ell, which was originally situated on a hill to the north of the property.

What is your cancellation policy?

Being a small inn, we are greatly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We require notice of 14 days prior to your stay in order for your deposit to be refunded. Cancellations made with less than a 14 day notice will be charged the full amount of your room cost. All cancellations are subject to a $35 handling fee when charged on a credit card, no exceptions.

Can we supply our own alcohol, beer, or wine?

No. Due to our current liquor license all alcohol, beer, and wine must be purchased through the inn.

Do you require a wedding planner?

We highly recommend you book a wedding planner to help with logistics, however, we do not require one. We do require that you book a day-of coordinator.

Is insurance required?

Yes, we do require event insurance for private events and weddings. Policies are typically very affordable and can be added to your homeowners or renters policy. There are also third party options as well.
