Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a people’s garden, a grassroots effort that began as a casual conversation between friends and evolved into the largest botanical garden in New England. Located on more than 300 acres along the MidCoast, the Gardens is a true Maine experience.
Offering alpaca walks, get to know the alpacas up close with a leisurely trek around the property, enjoy an alpaca yoga class in the grass during the summer months or, a yoga class in the barn with the alpacas as the backdrop. Rent the barn and the alpacas for your next party experience. Or, enjoy a farm visit where you can hang out with the alpacas, feed them, ask questions, and take lots of pictures! The world needs more alpaca joy.
The Chocolate Church Arts Center is mid coast Maine’s regional performing and visual arts center. For more than 40 years the Chocolate Church Arts Center has been offering a rich program of live music, gallery exhibitions, theatre for young artists, lectures and workshops.
It's hard to match this wonderful place. From tasteful yet simple rooms, to incredible views on nature and lilac trees, to the great people who run the Inn, I added a night to our two night stay. Breakfast to-go is succulent quiches and great croissants. And a few interesting trails right from the Inn.
