We offer house made baked goods in the dining room, along with coffee and tea, at 8:30 am. Coffee, tea and water are available in the Honor Bar 24-hours a day.

We offer contactless self check in any time after 3:00pm. We will text you the day of your stay with our guest guide and to confirm your ETA.

We are dog friendly and want our guests to enjoy the company of their well-behaved dog while on vacation! Not all of our rooms accommodate pets. The Polly, The Mittman, The Eleanor, The Roni, and The Mario are pet friendly rooms.

Yes, we do have WiFi, but due to being on an island in Maine, we often find that our WiFi signal doesn't come through all the time. We have added several Nodes to the inn to assist with WiFi. Most people are able to get work done while here.

Samuel Tarbox (1780-1861) became known as the Squire probably because of his wealth and stature as a business man and founding father of the Town of Westport. He was born in Litchfield, ME. In 1806, soon after marrying Mary "Polly" Brown, he bought the land on Westport from Stephen Parsons.

Being a small inn, we are greatly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We require notice of 14 days prior to your stay in order for your deposit to be refunded. Cancellations made with less than a 14 day notice will be charged the full amount of your room cost. All cancellations are subject to a $35 handling fee when charged on a credit card, no exceptions.
