The Tarbox’s modern interior spaces pay homage to the historic character of the building. Carefully curated with a casual mix of interesting antiques, stylish seating, and unique art, the inn offers an elegant yet relaxed ambiance. In our carriage house-turned-event barn, you’ll find a raw space full of antique wood and ample natural lighting with incredible views of midcoast Maine.

We were there for just a couple of days, but from what we saw it gets top rating. From the moment you drive in you know you are at a peaceful retreat away from everything. The place was beautifully decorated and had the farmhouse charm.

If you are looking for a magical place in ME, isolated enough to feel like you have complete privacy, but close enough to everything, you must visit the Squire Tarbox Inn. This beautifully restored 1763 farmhouse is a dream. The rooms are all meticulously renovated to have all the modern comforts with a laid back feel. And as a bonus, they have goats, chickens and a trail that takes you down to the most peaceful salt marsh.

Between the comfortable beds, friendly hosts and hostesses, and the amazing organic food you will not want to leave! I have never been so relaxed on a long weekend getaway. My wife insists we go back again! The beds were very comfortable.
