Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop is one of the oldest book stores in the state. The Damariscotta store also features the "Barn Door Baking Company Café" a great place to meet up with friends and discuss your favorite book.
Offering alpaca walks, get to know the alpacas up close with a leisurely trek around the property, enjoy an alpaca yoga class in the grass during the summer months or, a yoga class in the barn with the alpacas as the backdrop. Rent the barn and the alpacas for your next party experience. Or, enjoy a farm visit where you can hang out with the alpacas, feed them, ask questions, and take lots of pictures! In 2009, Long Grain opened its doors in the beautiful seaside town of Camden, Maine. We call our cuisine "honest food" meaning we use seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, no inconvenient truths here. Although many consider Long Grain a Thai restaurant, our dishes are inspired by many different Asian cuisines and cultures. Thai and Vietnamese street food, fare served in small eateries in Singapore and meals on dinner tables in Indonesia and Japan can all be found here. We look forward to welcoming you to our table.
We were there for just a couple of days, but from what we saw it gets top rating. From the moment you drive in you know you are at a peaceful retreat away from everything. The place was beautifully decorated and had the farmhouse charm.
