Beautiful place! Was recently lucky enough to attend a wedding there and was very impressed with the beauty and thoughtful layout of the entire place.

Everything about our stay was a dream! The house is beautiful, so unique, and has so much character. Every detail was carefully thought out, we noticed. Comfortable bed, wonderful, friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. We loved exploring the trail in the mornings and enjoyed the common areas with the other guests. Thank you so much for an excellent experience!

If you are looking for a magical place in ME, isolated enough to feel like you have complete privacy, but close enough to everything, you must visit the Squire Tarbox Inn. This beautifully restored 1763 farmhouse is a dream. The rooms are all meticulously renovated to have all the modern comforts with a laid back feel. And as a bonus, they have goats, chickens and a trail that takes you down to the most peaceful salt marsh.

This was such a lovely stay! We enjoyed our visit immensely and particularly loved all of the options for places to sit and take in the views. Such a beautifully renovated and unique property! We’ve been burning the candle that we purchased since our visit and it brings with it happy memories! Thank you!!

We love the Squire Tarbox Inn! We have stayed there three times over the past couple years, in three different rooms in two different buildings, twice with just my husband and me, once with our two teenagers. It’s in a beautiful location, quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous views of the land. The rooms are very comfortable with good quality beds, pillows, and linens, nice bathrooms, and charming period details throughout. Breakfast is lovely!

The rooms are exceptionally cozy, well appointed, and comfortable. I don't know if I have ever slept in a bed this delightful at a hotel. And even more than the individual rooms, the common areas are inviting, enjoyable, and welcoming. At the Squire Tarbox, breakfast was my favorite part of every day. Gathering with the other guests and savoring coffee on the porch while eating well-made breakfast was time well spent.

We loved the Squire Tarbox and will have to come back again! The breakfast was amazing, the grounds super beautiful, and all the home decor made it cozy and charming. Also, the staff were friendly and very helpful.

So, if you want peace and quiet, beautiful setting this is the place to be. Rates were well worth what you receive. Remote yet still close to everything you want or need. We absolutely will be back.

A little slice of Heaven tucked away on a most peaceful and natural setting as can be imagined! Walking the grounds or exploring the natural bounty of the island can"t be more cathartic than this. Extremely comfortable beds and very clean rooms!
