This beautifully restored 1763 farmhouse is a dream. The rooms are all meticulously renovated to have all the modern comforts with a laid back feel. And as a bonus, they have goats, chickens and a trail that takes you down to the most peaceful salt marsh.

Wow......Did we have fun staying at The Squire Tarbox Inn! Our room was updated with the best of the best linens, towels and other amenities! Quiet and peaceful. If you are in the area this inn is a treat and the owners should be very proud of their accomplishments in improving this special slice of heaven in Maine!

We were there for just a couple of days, but from what we saw it gets top rating. From the moment you drive in you know you are at a peaceful retreat away from everything. The place was beautifully decorated and had the farmhouse charm.

Between the comfortable beds, friendly hosts and hostesses, and the amazing organic food you will not want to leave! I have never been so relaxed on a long weekend getaway. My wife insists we go back again! The beds were very comfortable.

So grateful we found The Squire Tarbox Inn. The stay was a highlight of our New England trip. The atmosphere is lovely and the “grab and go” chive and cheddar scones with fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola was exceptional.

We love the Squire Tarbox Inn! We have stayed there three times over the past couple years, in three different rooms in two different buildings, twice with just my husband and me, once with our two teenagers. It’s in a beautiful location, quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous views of the land. The rooms are very comfortable with good quality beds, pillows, and linens, nice bathrooms, and charming period details throughout. Breakfast is lovely!

This place is a real gem. A beautiful and painstaking renovation done to this building with charming rooms that are true to the period but with a modern touch. Stunning grounds only add to the experience.

What an amazing place with amazing service. The rooms are delightful, it’s really not that far from town, and the history is so rich. Had an incredible breakfast in the morning and got to say hi to the chubby little goats. I’ll be staying here again in the future. What a gem.

The Squire Tarbox Inn is everything you could imagine it would be, a quaint rural homestead with luscious gardens, pastoral vistas, nestled in one of the best parts of the Maine coast. The Inn is a beautifully preserved home with all the warmth and charm of a cozy New England escape. The owners pay homage to the historical significance of the architecture while attending to details with discerning and well-appointed design choices. We were able to experience a step back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities that will make this a very memorable stay. If you are in the midcoast area, I highly recommend taking the trip to Westport. It will not disappoint.

Beautiful place! Was recently lucky enough to attend a wedding there and was very impressed with the beauty and thoughtful layout of the entire place.
