Wonderful place, great hosts and staff. Would drive out of my way to stay here again.

This place is a real gem. A beautiful and painstaking renovation done to this building with charming rooms that are true to the period but with a modern touch. Stunning grounds only add to the experience.

It's hard to match this wonderful place. From tasteful yet simple rooms, to incredible views on nature and lilac trees, to the great people who run the Inn, I added a night to our two night stay. Breakfast to-go is succulent quiches and great croissants. And a few interesting trails right from the Inn.

Wow......Did we have fun staying at The Squire Tarbox Inn! Our room was updated with the best of the best linens, towels and other amenities! Quiet and peaceful. If you are in the area this inn is a treat and the owners should be very proud of their accomplishments in improving this special slice of heaven in Maine!

We loved the Squire Tarbox and will have to come back again! The breakfast was amazing, the grounds super beautiful, and all the home decor made it cozy and charming. Also, the staff were friendly and very helpful.

If you are looking for a magical place in ME, isolated enough to feel like you have complete privacy, but close enough to everything, you must visit the Squire Tarbox Inn. This beautifully restored 1763 farmhouse is a dream. The rooms are all meticulously renovated to have all the modern comforts with a laid back feel. And as a bonus, they have goats, chickens and a trail that takes you down to the most peaceful salt marsh.

This was such a lovely stay! We enjoyed our visit immensely and particularly loved all of the options for places to sit and take in the views. Such a beautifully renovated and unique property! We’ve been burning the candle that we purchased since our visit and it brings with it happy memories! Thank you!!

We stayed for a whole week and felt super comfortable throughout. The team are super hospitable - both great for chatting and also respecting our space when we needed it. Most importantly, this place isn't just dog-friendly, they're dog people.

The Squire Tarbox Inn is everything you could imagine it would be, a quaint rural homestead with luscious gardens, pastoral vistas, nestled in one of the best parts of the Maine coast. The Inn is a beautifully preserved home with all the warmth and charm of a cozy New England escape. The owners pay homage to the historical significance of the architecture while attending to details with discerning and well-appointed design choices. We were able to experience a step back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities that will make this a very memorable stay. If you are in the midcoast area, I highly recommend taking the trip to Westport. It will not disappoint.
